Newborn twins

In my last weekend before heading to the mighty US of A, I got to babysit these itsy bitsy week old kittens. They're not walking yet, nor have their eyes opened up, but they bear an uncanny resemblance to my two fur-children Charlie and Steve - albeit somewhat smaller.

Raaaaaachel

Rachel is quite the little model. A beautiful smile, big brown eyes, one or two small diva moments, and that hair (that hair!). Only six weeks out from her 5th birthday Rachel is all set to bid farewell to her trainer wheels too. We headed down to Avalon Park (which always seems to be sunny) Rachel showed us where to go and what she wanted to do. Despite one frightening fall from a swing and heavy traffic on the bike track we managed to find some new spots to shoot in, (love that park!) especially enjoying that DOC-green wall in the shots above, what do you think?

Little Liam

Liam is 4 weeks old (5 weeks now!) and every single inch of him is perfect and gorgeous. In betweenxt his grizzling we managed to get a huge array of smiles and some gorgeous serious faces too.

A little bit more Poppy

Niamh's 6th Birthday

Niamh had a princess party for her birthday this year. It was a beautiful sunny day. Princess Aurora came along to take care of the entertainment and then transformed the kids into various animals (and a spiderman). Much fun to be had by all.

Look how my babies have grown!

I was lucky enough to photograph Leon's 1st birthday party today - look how big he's gotten! His guest list included a grand portion of my little clients from days gone by. It was the coolest thing I have experienced since starting this little business of mine, to see all these little monkeys grown up and toddling about. I can't believe its almost a year since Tot Shots was born! Ah I am so blessed.

Haroo and Soap

These two are pretty much my favourite babies ever. We decided it was about darn time that they had a family photoshoot done. We went down to Queens Wharf in Petone on a sunny Sunday morning not so long ago. Harry made the amateur's mistake of picking up a broken bottle and got us off to a really bad start (note the bandaid). He was a right trooper though and we continued on with the shoot as though none of us were bleeding profusely.
I'm not usually a fan of shooting in the bright sun, but I'm loving the results here, a little bit of light flare goes a long way!

Two chicks and a chicken

These two cuties won a session by entering my website competition, and I'm so glad they did! Despite living pretty near me in the city they are lucky enough to have an awesome area of wilderness right by their house, climbing trees, and a chicken coop! The photographic potential was just awesome, and what great models too. I love this shoot so much, the colours are so rich, aren't they. And if you were wondering, this is a perfect example of how to 'coordinate your family with similar hues without being overly matchy-matchy' - 10 points Mum.
